Obituary: West Unity (OH) Reporter of Dec-1892

Obituary

Died at his home in Millcreek township, Dec. 14th, 1892, Ephraim Zolman, at the age of 81 years and 4 months.
He was born in Maryland, Aug. 14th, 1811. When two years old, he moved with his parents to Knox county, Ohio. In 1836 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Heron. To this union were born two children, a son and a daughter. His wife departed this life in 1842, and in 1843 he was married to Miss Melinda Stockdale. To them were born three sons.
In the fall of 1861, they moved to Williams County, and May 25th, 1877, he again lost his wife. But with the aid of his daughter, Miss Mary, he resumed housekeeping at their old home.
She deserves credit for the way in which she cared for her father in his last severe illness, and for the kindness she has manifested toward him in his advanced age.
The deceased leaves five children, four brothers, one sister, and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 16th, at the Mt. Salem Presbyterian church in Franklin, and conducted by Rev. D. M. Rittenhouse.
So passed away another of our respected citizens, peacefully, calmly, in a full and perfect faith, to a purer, brighter, and more perfect life beyond the river.
