LaPORTE — Doris L. “Dot” Struyf, 79, LaPorte, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 22, 2002) at LaPorte Hospital.
She had lived most of her life in the Rolling Prairie area.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Haverstock Funeral Home, with Brother Ransom Ebersole officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
She was born July 1, 1922, in Indiana, to Samuel and Helene (Radtke) Zolman. She married Louis F. Struyf, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Randall (Bobbi) Struyf, San Carlos, Calif., and Michael (Sharon) Struyf, Rolling Prairie; one daughter, Cheryl Gerhardt, Floral City, Fla.; two sisters, Arlene Mounce, Rolling Prairie, and Joyce Smith, North Carolina; four brothers, John Zolman, New Carlisle, Max Zolman, Michigan City, Walt Zolman, South Bend, Ind., and Sam Zolman, LaPorte; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding Mrs. Struyf in death was one sister, Florence Arndt.
Mrs. Struyf was retired from Berkel Corp. as a secretary. She belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Rolling Prairie Post 1130.
