Chester Elvin and Elberta Irene Birks Zolman.

He was a World War I veteran.













He came to Illinois about 1916 and worked on a farm near Tolono for a family by the name of Fisher.
He worked as a hostler for the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad.
They lived in Danville, Illinois after his first marriage.

1920 census:

Chester Elvin and Elberta Irene Birks Zolman were divorced in May 1925 and he moved to Chicago.
Elberta married Chester's brother, Claude, in September 1928.
Chester Elvin and Irene Knock Zolman were divorced.

1948-50: He lived in Reno, Nevada and was a maintenance engineer at the Veteran's Hospital there.
Chester and Bessie moved to Oakland, California from Reno sometime after July of 1950 and he worked at a hotel there.
