Both are natives of Eel River Township, Allen County.
Mr. Goheen taught several terms in one-room schools in Allen County before
earning a BS Degree at Purdue University.
He then taught 32 terms in Forest Park Junior High School in Fort Wayne
before taking his retirement in 1959.
For further identification of ourselves: We built a new house on Orchard Lane
and lived in it from 1959 until 1976.
We were active in Churubuscu Methodist Church during that time.
My wife's father was President of the former Exchange Bank in Churubusco.
We still have many friends in the vicinity of Churubusco including John and
Nancy Ford, Jim and Martha Wappes, Mary Kugler, Robert and Hazel Johnson
and Wilbur Green. Several of whom were my former students.
Irma Johnson, 321 S. Main St., Churubusco, is my wife's sister.
Jim Kirtley was one of my students in Forest Park Junior High School in
Fort Wayne in 1927-28.
