ROCHESTER - Devane M. "Babe" Felts, 89, of old U.S. 31 South, died at 6:52 p.m. Saturday in Peabody Retirement Home, North Manchester, Ind.
Mr. Felts was a retired farmer. He was born June 30, 1902, in Rochester and was a lifelong resident.
On Nov. 24, 1927, in Rochester, he married Wilma L. Kochenderfer.
She survives with a daughter, Susan A. Williams of San Diego;
a son, H. Kenneth of San Diego;
five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home.
Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home,
where a Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, followed by an Odd Fellows service.

Wilma Louise Felts, 91, formerly of Old U.S. 31 South Woodrow
Community, died 9:15 p.m. Saturday at Life Care Center of Rochester.
Born in Fulton County to Harley E. and Cora E. Zolman Kochenderfer,
she married Devane M. Felts on Nov. 24, 1926 in Rochester. He died
Jan. 4, 1992.
Mrs. Felts was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of First
Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastern Star Lodge 70, both in
Rochester.
Survivors include one son, Howard Kenneth and wife Kirsten Felts,
San Diego, Calif., one daughter, Susan Ann Williams, San Diego; two
grandchildren, Melissa A. Hughes and Jeffrey Michael Williams, both
of San Diego, Calif.; one great-grandson, Joseph B. Hughes, San
Diego, Calif.; and four step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold D., Kenneth and
Charles E. Kochenderfer, and one sister, Hilda B. Kochenderfer.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral
Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Burial will
be in Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home where there will be a 7 p.m. Eastern
Star service. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church,
Rochester or Rochester Masonic Lodge.
